Vivid’s Oaks Day Luncheon Raises Vital Funds for Disability Support
On Thursday, 7 November, NDIS-registered disability provider Vivid hosted its highly anticipated Oaks Day fundraising luncheon at Junction, Moama.
Guests enjoyed a delightful afternoon featuring a sit-down lunch hosted by the vibrant Jo Stanley, a beloved media personality and comedian known for her work on Australian television and radio. Jo’s charisma and humour set the tone for the day, while her dedication to philanthropy highlighted the spirit of the event.
Adding to the excitement, attendees were treated to a special video message from Michelle Payne, the trailblazing jockey who made history as the first woman to win the Melbourne Cup in 2015. Michelle’s inspiring story and words resonated with the audience, bringing an extra layer of inspiration to the day.
The event raised significant funds to support Vivid’s mission of providing cutting-edge assistive technologies. These advanced tools will help participants develop spatial awareness, improve communication skills, and enhance accessibility, ensuring that adults with disabilities in our community can thrive.
The success of the luncheon was made possible by the generous support of major sponsors: Insurance House, Moama Bowling Club, Echuca Auto Group, Priceline Echuca, Riverine Herald, and Ace Radio. Additional funds were raised through auctions and raffles, with contributions from community supporters helping to make a meaningful impact.
Vivid extends heartfelt thanks to all who attended, supported, and contributed to this memorable event. Together, we’re building a more inclusive and supportive future.
