Vivid is NDIS Ready in The Mallee

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) officially kicked off in the Mallee on 1 January 2019 and people living with disability are now looking at their options to ensure their individual NDIS Plan meets their needs and goals.

Since 2016 the Scheme has been rolling out across the country and as of January, people with disability in the Mallee will be funded by the NDIS. The change in funding also represents greater choice and control in the support options that people living with disability receive.

Vivid (formerly Murray Human Services) is a leading disability service provider in the Loddon and Mallee regions. Having now transitioned the people it supports in Loddon over to the Scheme throughout 2017 and 2018, the organisation is using its expertise in the field to ensure a smooth transition for people in Kerang, Swan Hill and surrounds.

Vivid offers a range of support services to people living with disability including day programs and supported employment in Swan Hill and Kerang. The organisation is also now offering Support Coordination as part of its suite of services.

Scott Alexander, CEO of Vivid, said that the “The National Disability Insurance Scheme is the biggest social reform in Australia since the introduction of Medicare. As an organisation, we are responding to this huge change by ensuring that the people we support in the Mallee are getting the best out of their NDIS Plan.”

“We have a dedicated team of staff led by Maree Miliano and Kylie Liebmann who are teaming up to ensure that Mallee residents are supported in their NDIS transition.” he said.

“They have the local knowledge and NDIS expertise to ensure that all options are explored for the individuals they are supporting.”

For people living with disability in the Mallee area, Vivid welcomes you to contact them to discuss your NDIS plan and goals.
