Litter Crew are Keeping Victoria Beautiful
A special presentation as part of Tidy Towns Victoria
On Monday 10 September, Vivid were proud to be named as a finalist in the Keep Victoria Beautiful awards for the Shire of Campaspe zone.
The Shire of Campaspe utilises the skills of Vivid Work Crew to ensure that the town is kept tidy for both residents and tourists to enjoy. The regular clean up by the Work Crew occurs four times a week – three morning shifts that focus on the historic port precinct and an afternoon crew that are able to respond to the changing requirements of the Shire (special events for example).
The Crew is made up of supported employees Donald Dorman, David Baker, Tony Jones and Jordan Betts with the support of Craig Williams who is able to mentor and guide the team.
The range of skills that the crew gain through this partnership is varying. It is crucial that the individuals have their own role to play, but without teamwork and good communication, the job would not be done effectively. They each must have great road and traffic safety skills and listen effectively.
“We love our partnership with the Shire of Campaspe. Vivid take great pride in the communities in which we work and we are so proud to be able to put that pride into action with our Work Crew who keep Echuca beautiful” said Vivid’s Inclusion & Enterprise Manager Phillip Evans.
